After spending over a decade working in Human Resources in both Employee Relations and Labour Relations supporting multimillion dollar global and national brands, Edwin understands that Trust, Communication and Accountability are essential to the success of your leaders, your teams and your organization. 

Through his extensive experience in both coaching and Human Resource management, Edwin approaches HR opportunities and challenges from two distinct yet essential perspectives: The “business” side and the “relationship” side. For example, Edwin understands the impact effective leadership and fulfilled employees have on productivity, ROI and future talent development. Session Description: The COVID-19 crisis has enabled more people to be active and engaged through online platforms. How did it change our communication pattern? Effective communication is a key skill for successful leaders. This session will explore practical models and approaches that will help participants overcome barriers to communication and prepare them to have and facilitate productive conversations based on respect, trust and collaboration.

Key Learning Objectives:

     Understanding how behaviours, biases and assumptions influence communication

     Learning how to have courageous and difficult conversations at work

     Learning how to practice intentional listening and understand effective communication techniques, specifically in situations of conflict and stress
