Presenter/Facilitator: Seema Taneja, M.A. | Senior Research Consultant | Taneja Consulting Inc.

Seema has been an active member of the evaluation and research sector for more than fifteen years. Her expertise resides in research, data and measurement, evaluation, training and facilitation. Seema has been involved in leading numerous research and community engagement initiatives across Ontario that strive to bring the most value to residents.

Seema has also led the creation of the Peel Evaluates platform that offers non-profits an opportunity to learn more about evaluation and access tools and knowledge-building resources to increase their capacity and confidence to evaluate their work.

Building capacity on the usage of data (both qualitative and quantitative) has always been a central goal of her work as she leads communities through processes that enable them to learn how to ask the most pertinent questions that impact their program development, implementation, and clients.

Seema is a recognized trainer in Results-Based Accountability (RBA) and has led several processes to support communities and organizations develop effective results, indicators, and measures so to enhance much of the work they are already engaged in. Seema is also an Innoweave coach and has trained several organizations in understanding and leveraging elements of Collective Impact to strengthen and accelerate their work.

Session Description: The need to measure and evaluate the impact of programs and services has never been more critical than it is today. With accountability to service users and funders at the forefront, nonprofit groups are required to adapt their programs and services through the use of data and feedback.

      Evaluation 101 – The steps to planning for an evaluation and an examination of what an organizational evaluation framework looks like in practice and how it can inform program evaluation
